west bay harbour wall tide

(Updated 11:38am 1st February 2014)

The Environment Agency have issued three new Flood warnings for the Dorset Coast this lunchtime.

They say flooding's expected at Preston Beach, Chiswell and West Bay around this evening's high tide.

Flooding is expected for the Sea Life Centre and the Preston Beach Road area of Lodmore  this evening.

The Causeway between Portland and Wyke Regis may be impassable. Dangerous wave overtopping including shingle is possible.

Last night waters broke over the wall of West Bay harbour, and the Esplanade along its West Beach flooded, threatening nearby sea front properties.
