Multiple Flood Warnings Issued For Dorset Coast

Multiple flood warnings are now in place ahead of tonight's high tides along the Dorset coast.

They're for Preston Beach, Chiswell, Weymouth, Portland, West Bay  and the latest is for Weymouth esplanade, around this evening's high tide.

The environment agency are predicting waves and shingle coming over the top of Portland Beach Road and say they may have to close the road if conditions get too bad.

The following is a list of areas sent to us by (1pm Saturday) by the Environment Agency which are expected to flood around or after tonight's high tides:

Albert Street, Brownlow Street, Stuarts Ct, Brunswick Terrace, Chelmsford Street, Crescent Street, Derby Street, Hardwick Street, King Street, Lennox Street, Park Street, Penny Street, Queen Street, Ranelagh Rd, Stanley St and Walpole St in Weymouth.  

Chesil Bank and The Fleet Nature Reserve and Ferry Bridge Marine Services, Portland Beach Road.

The Sea Life Centre and the Preston Beach Road area of Lodmoor.  

Brandy Row, Pebble Lane, Victoria Road up to the junction with Queens Road, the car park and the Depot in Chiswell

And The Esplanade, Quayside, Heron Court, Forty Foot Way, Driftwood, George Street, Swains Row, The Old Timberyard, Station Way, Pier Terrace and East Beach in West Bay  this evening.
