Campaigners Criticise Dorset MP Over Badger Comment

Campaigners against a badger cull in Dorset have hit out at MP Oliver Letwin who told Wessex FM he was backing a cull.
Dorset for Badger and Bovine Welfare say they're disappointed in the local politician.
His remarks came after Dorset PCC Martyn Underhill said a cull was "increasingly likely" in the county next year.
Ian Mortimer from Dorset's Badger and Bovine Welfare group hopes a cull won't happen;
"I think it's very unfortunate Oliver Letwin told me he would wait until he heard the independent review of the pilot culls - in Somerset and Gloucestershire - before he made any decision. He has a very unfortunate view to the unnecessary killing of animals which I think most people would disagree with."
"We started culling badgers in 1975 right up to 1996 and it didn't work, yet here were are 38 years later wanting to do the same thing over and over again."
