3:59pm 5th February 2014

Police in Bridport are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a road traffic collision in Watton near the town.

The incident, in which a blue Ford Fusion collided with a white and orange Ford Transit van, happened at about 1.45pm on Friday 31 January 2014 on the westbound carriageway of the A35, approximately 185 metres west of Broomhills farm.

The driver of the Ford Fusion sustained minor injuries.

Police Constable Sara Mackay, of Bridport police, said: “I am appealing for anyone with information about this incident to contact Dorset Police.

“I am particularly keen to talk to the driver of a white Transit van, who wasn’t involved in the collision but may be able to provide some information.

“I would also like to hear from anyone else who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the collision itself.”

No arrests have been made.

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 31:249. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
