High Value Tools Stolen From Van

Wareham Police are hunting brazen thieves who broke into a van and stole high value tools in broad daylight.

It happened on the morning of Monday 3rd February, outside a premises on Filleul Road in Sandford.

They got into the van by cutting open a padlock on the passenger door of the Mitsubishi Canter.

Items taken include chain saws, climbing kits and harnesses.

Police Constable Sam Everton, of Wareham police, said: "The stolen items were of a high value and their loss has caused a considerable amount of inconvenience and expense to the owner.

"This crime happened in broad daylight and it is possible that someone may have seen something untoward.

"We are interested to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious behaviour in the area at the time of the incident, or have any other information that could help with our investigation.

"I would also like to hear from anyone who has been approached to buy any similar items in strange circumstances or at unusually low prices."
