Dorset Police Officer Sentenced To Community Service

A Dorset Police Constable has been sentence to 200 hours of community service after being found guilty of common assault.
The attack happened on Sunday 3rd March last year while Pete Lawrence was off duty.
Gloucester Crown Court has today ordered him to pay £1,000 in costs and £1,000 in compensation to the victim.
Dorset Police say Lawrence has been suspended since the incident happened and an internal disciplinary procedure will now begin.
