Has Dorchester's One Way Traffic Scheme Hit A Bump In The Road?
7:06am 26th February 2014
A scheme to reduce traffic and cut air pollution through Dorchester town centre has met a bump in the road.
Locals have shown a red light to plans to make part of High West and High East Street one way.
They fear that traffic will be moved out of the town centre and pushed into more residential areas.
The County Council's Cabinet are meeting today to decide what to do next.
There are three options, to develop the ideas they have - taking on board public feedback, to scrap their plans and start again or to abandon the idea altogether.
It's thought the first option is the preferred one.
