(Updated 8:14am 27th February 2014)
Dorset Fire and Rescue are offering local businesses free information sessions on how to be fire safe.
They'll be interactive and will provide business owners with practical advice on how to reduce the chances of having a fire.
You'll also be able to make sure you're complying with current regulations.
Emma Turner, Business and Partnership Engagement Officer at Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said: "In England and Wales, if you're an employer, owner, landlord or occupier of business, you're responsible for fire safety under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. This legislation ensures people in or around commercial premises are safe from fire.
"These brand new sessions will be taking a look at what the legal responsibilities under the Fire Safety Order are, as well as lots of practical advice about fire precautions and the fire risk assessment process."
Sessions are taking place across Dorset in 2014:
- West Dorset & Weymouth - Tuesday 22 April 2pm - 4pm, Council Offices South Walks Road Dorchester DT1 1UZ
- Purbeck - Tuesday 06 May 2014 2pm - 4pm, Council Offices Worgret Road Wareham BH20 4PP
If you would like to book a place on one of the sessions, please contact Emma Turner on 01305 252785 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with your details, including your type of business clearly stating which event you wish to attend.
