A Bridport Mum is getting ready to welcome her son back home after an horrific sky diving accident in Fiji.

Ellie Harrisons' son Ben Cornick's injuries were caused when he hit a van on his decent at 40 miles per hour.

"He broke his femur in 3 places, damaged his knee cap, he had severe cuts as well, snapped his arm and shattered the top of his elbow."; Ellie told Wessex FM.

An appeal fund for his medical bills raised £20,000 in just a day.

And money to help his recovery is still coming in.

To donate to the appeal email rickeyjdavies@hotmail.co.uk.

Ben who's a sky diving instructor is due back in the country in the next few weeks, and the day after his birthday.

And his Mum can't wait to have him back.

"He's quite cheerful. They've let him out of the hospital and he's staying with a friend.  He can't fly until he can bend his leg and he's working hard on that at the moment as he can't walk.  We'll hopefully have him back on the 19th March."
