Kate Adie To Honour Readers In Bridport

Legendary war zone correspondent Kate Adie is in Bridport today. (11 March)

The journalist and author will be marking the achievements of the latest graduates of an adult reading programme.

Kate is the patron of Read Easy Bridport who offer free private one to one courses.

She'll be presenting certificates to people who've taken part in a 30 month teaching programme.

It's estimated that nationally one in 5 adults are functionally illiterate.
