Police Investigate A Spate Of Burglaries In Weymouth And Portland

Police are investing a spate of burglaries at commercial premises in Weymouth and Portland.
Detectives believe the incidents are linked.
The burglaries happened between 8pm on Saturday 8 March and just before 8am on the following Monday morning.
Eagle Plant Hire and Dorset Auto Spares on Cambridge Road in the Granby Industrial Estate were targeted, together with Fresh Bites on Portland Road and Quiddles Café on Portland.
Tools, food and money was taken.
Police Constable Neil Fitch, of Weymouth police, said: "I would like to speak to anyone who saw suspicious activity in these areas over the weekend.
"It is believed that all four burglaries are linked.
"I would urge all residents to be vigilant and to contact the police if they have any concerns.
"If you see something untoward, or if you think a burglary is taking place, please call the police immediately.
"Anyone with information which can help with the investigation is urged to come forward as soon as possible.
"All calls are treated with the strictest confidence."
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing at this time.
