Firefighters Issue Warning Over Bonfires
2:38pm 17th March 2014
A warning’s been issued over bonfires after a blaze near Dorchester at the weekend.
The fire started after it spread from a controlled bonfire toward a small barn on open land just outside the town, near Muckleford.
Dorset firefighters managed to put it out before it could cause any major damage.
But it's sparked a warning from chiefs who say bonfires can easily spread in the dry conditions and people having one, should have a hosepipe nearby, and alert the emergency services if they're planning a fire.
