It's free and it could help cut accidents on Dorset's roads.

The Dorset Group of Advanced Motorists are holding three lectures next month in Dorchester with a top Police driving instructor.

29 people died on the counties roads last year.

Group Chairman John Hayward says drivers will learn how to become more aware of their surroundings:

"It teaches them a method which the Police use to avoid accidents so people are more aware of what's going on around them on the roads."

And John says if you enjoy the lectures you can also move up a gear:

"The Skill For Life which is a national course, we have got some half price places and subsidised places available for those people attending the course who would like to go further and take the advanced driving test."

The three different free lectures are on the 2nd, 9th and 16th April.

Drivers are invited to attend the series of two hour lectures on the above dates commencing at 6.45 PM in Committee Room 1, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester DT1 1XJ. Parking is free within the parking areas at County Hall.
