Dorset's small businesses which have been damaged by recent floods are getting a helping hand from the Rotary club.

Peter Noble from Dorchester Rotary says the first grants have been provided for three small businesses in the county.

The Rotary have commited £5,000 so far to Dorset, but more is currently being received and processed.

Across the world the Rotary's emergency fund stands at over £82,000.

The Rotart District 1200 told us, "Rotary is already helping people, from individuals and families to businesses that need a rapid response. But unless asked, Rotary clubs don't necessarily know where help is needed NOW. Obviously many will have insurance and other forms of support, but Rotary can fill that immediate need, with whatever people need today. Rotary also has a stock of items that can be collected, or lent at a small warehouse. "

You can email Peter Noble at peter@gshow.co.uk to ask about the funds.
