Salt From Storms Burns Trees As Far Inland As Beaminster

Salt water from the storms which battered Dorset have burned evergreen trees leaves as far inland as to the north of Beaminster.
Trees at Groves Nurseries there and at Bridport have themselves suffered £ 700 worth of damage.
The first signs to look for are brown patches appearing on the side facing towards the sea.
The nurseries are now getting innundated with calls from concerned customers asking what they should do.
Charlies Groves told Wessex FM they will grow out, especially as the weather warms up. You can cut the dead growth off but take care not to cut into any new growth.
