Coastguards In Action On Land and In The Air

Dorset Coast coastguard teams have been in action on land and in the air this weekend.
Amongst incidents reported was by the Lyme Regis Coastguard Rescue Team, who, backed up by West Bay Coastguard Rescue Team effected the recovery of a man stuck on the cliff near Charmouth. The man was attempting to recover his dog which had fallen over the cliff edge. The man was given a medical check over by paramedics from South West Ambulance.
The Coastguard Helicopter Rescue from Portland conducted a medical transfer of a diver with bends, from Chepstow to Poole Hyperbaric chamber. Poole Coastguards manned the helicopter landing site at Poole and Coastguard Helicopter Rescue 106 was met by a dive doctor and ambulance.
