Get Your Free Health Check

People in Dorset are being reminded to get their free health check!
The new programme aims to help people lower their risk of developing common but often preventable diseases such as strokes, heart and kidney disease and diabetes.
Health experts say they're targeting men in their 40's, particularly in the Weymouth area, who rarely have health checks.
A 20-minute health check can help identify risks of developing any of these diseases through straightforward tests and standard questions about lifestyle and family medical history.
Anyone aged 40 to 75 who has not been diagnosed with any of the conditions listed above can take part in the scheme.
Dr David Phillips, director of Public Health Dorset, said: "As people are now living longer lives, it's more important to make sure they are spent in good health. A free and easy health check can flag up potential issues that can be dealt with, usually with just a few minor changes to the person's lifestyle."
To receive a health check, visit your GP or participating pharmacy.
