9:36am 27th March 2014

It's World 'Doula' Week, and a Weymouth mother is highlighting the service they provide to fellow mums.

Juliet Taylor says a Doulas aim to 'mother the mother' with support and advice about pregnancy, also to provide knowledge and advice post-birth, especially if the mother lives many miles from their extended family, a partner works away, if there are older children to look after, or they just want a person with knowledge to back them up

There's also a Access Fund to enable low income families to hire a doula, available from Doula UK www.doulauk.org
