Thieves Ransack Weymouth Property

Thieves have ransacked a property in Weymouth.

They escaped with expensive electrical items when they gained entry to the home on Douglas Road in the Wyke Regis area of town, last Monday (24th March).

Offenders stole loads of items including an Xbox, 50 inch Panasonic TV, cash, jewellery and a kindle.

Dorset Police are trying to track down the thief, or thieves responsible, and say the items taken are of great value to the victim.

Detective Constable Steve Dodge, of Weymouth CID, said: "The items stolen are of great value to the victim.

"A particularly distinctive item taken was a Panasonic 50 inch 3D television with 3D glasses.

"I would urge anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area to come forward as soon as possible.

"I would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered such items or similar for sale in strange circumstances or for an unusually low price.

"Anyone with information that can assist the investigation is asked to contact the police in confidence."

If you saw anything suspicious or anyone lurking around the area last Monday, you should contact Dorset Police on 101.
