Britain's biggest breakfast brands are waging a battle to win control over Dorset Cereals.
It's understood Jordan’s, Kellogg’s and Weetabix have put in the latest offers to buy the popular cereal company.
Dorset Cereals have told us their owners, Wellness Foods, have received interest from a number of firms who want to buy them;
"As a consequence of our success our owners Wellness Foods have had interest from a number of companies. This is a confidential process and no decision has yet been made as to whether a sale will take place. "
Dorset Cereals has been producing award winning breakfast cereals for many years and more people are buying their tasty products. Some cereal samples were even handed out in party bags for guests at the prestigious Oscars film awards in the US in 2012.
"Dorset Cereals has been producing award winning breakfast cereals for many years and according to the latest Kantar World panel market data to the 5th January 2014, has seen the fastest growth in the number of buyers of any major brand in the cereal category. In the past year over 2 million households have bought the brand ..... Not bad for a tiny little company from Dorset!"
