Police Hunt Spray Paint Vandals in Weymouth

7:44am 17th April 2014

Four cars have been damaged in Weymouth by someone using a can of white spray paint.

Police say it happened overnight on Wednesday 9th April in Glen Avenue.

They think the paint was stolen during a garage break in.

Police Constable William Taylor, of Weymouth police, said: "This appears to be a random attack and has caused a great deal of distress to the victims.

"On the same night some time between 8pm and 9.30am, a theft from an insecure vehicle on Prince of Wales Road also occurred and sunglasses were stolen. It is thought that this crime might be linked.

"I urge any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward as soon as possible.

"All calls will be treated with the strictest confidence.

"I would like to also remind owners to make sure that their vehicles are secure and valuable items are not left inside."

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101.
