Kayakers Helped to Safety off Dorset Coast

Incidents continued across the Easter weekend making it a busy Easter for coastguard and rescue services along the Dorset coast.

Amongst the incidents, Swanage Coastguards were called to help two kayakers in trouble off Old Harry Rocks.

Both were picked up by other vessels before being returned to Studland.

A fishing vessel with engine trouble in Lyme Bay activated its distress beacon and was helped back to Weymouth by lifeboat crews.

Two men cut off by the tide whilst fishing off rocks near Lyme Regis Harbour were helped to shore by Lyme Coastguards.
