Dorset Roof Design Gains Royal Seal of Approval

A Weymouth company's celebrating landing a Queen's Award for innovation.
Permavent, who are based on the Granby Industrial Estate, won it for their 'Easy Roof system', which allows any type of slate and plain tiles to be installed at very low roof pitches.
The company was established in 2005 to design, manufacture and distribute roofing anciliary products.
Stephen Makin, Managing Director of Permavent says ''We are absolutely delighted to win this award. It is great to be acknowledged for the hard work we have put in and the changes we have made to the industry. We look forward to using this award to recognise the development of further innovations.''
''The 'Easy Roof System' includes 'Easy Slate' that allows any natural or manmadde slate to be installed as low as 12 degrees through the use of an ingenious yet simple to install side check strip.''
