7:33am 23rd April 2014

A Dorset Housing Group is showing its support for better pay for its workers.

Spectrum Housing has been accredited as a Living Wage employer.

The Living Wage is above the minimum wage and is based on the amount an individual needs to earn to cover the basic costs of living.

Anne Wildeman, Group Director of HR and Business Services at Spectrum Housing Group said: "We are delighted to be a Living Wage employer. Paying the Living Wage is a recognised sign of good practice in employment. All of our employees are paid at or above the living wage and we are proud of that fact."

Subsidiary company Spectrum Property Care which repairs and maintains properties all over the South of England was the first organisation in Dorset to become an accredited Living Wage Employer.
