A Dorset Pub has been named as a rising star in an exclusive guide.
The Three Horseshoes at Powerstock is one of only two pubs in West Dorset to get into the Trencherman's Guide - which is by invitation only.
The pub was chosen for its traditional menu, which has already been recognised by the Michelin Guide.
'We aim to cook good, honest, seasonal British food', says chef Karl Bashford.
'It's all about doing simple dishes really well with locally sourced, quality ingredients and the occasional more unusual elements.'
Karl and his partner Suzie Prekopova have been running the Palmers' pub for the last five years, steadily building its foodie reputation.
"It's nice to be recognised for what we do after all the years of hard work,' adds Karl.
