Brewery Square might be the new home of dining out in Dorchester but could the Shire Hall be the new heritage sector?
That's what the town's chamber of commerce would like to see.
They've donated funds to the project to make the old crown court and cells an international heritage centre.
Chamber President Alison Moore says we need more visitors supporting local businesses at that end of Dorchester:
"Anything that we can do to support the various businesses that our in that part of town, I think it's really important to help get the footfall through."
"Our chamber members who are in High West and East Street have lost customers because WDDC offices have moved. We think this is a really good way to help a project that is already on the go to bring more visitors and more customers."
