Weymouth Holiday Park Asks To Put Up "Safari" Tents
6:53am 8th May 2014
A Weymouth holiday park wants to replace its pitches for 74 touring caravans and motorhomes with something a little wilder.
Waterside at Bowleaze Cove are asking for planning permission to put up 28 "Safari" tents.
Waterside say they want to attract new customers that wouldn't normally come to a conventional caravan park.
The green and olive coloured safari tents would have 3 bedrooms, a balcony, their own bathroom and cooking facilities.
They would be available to use from March through to January and would stay in place all year round.
The Borough Council will consider the planning application next week, on Wednesday 14 May.
