An operation designed to improve Dorset Police's service to crime victims has seen a rise in positive outcomes.
Positive outcomes are a range of measures including a charge, caution, fixed penalty notices and restorative justice as part of Operation Advance, an initiative prompted by the Police and Crime Commissioner.
Operation Advance targets prolific offenders and improves communication with victims.
There's also more flexibility with the measured issued to those not expected to repeat offend, including 'community resolution'.
Dorset's positive outcome rate has increased by 5.3% since October 2012 and stood at 26.8% in March 2014
