Appeal for Flag Help in Dorchester!
8:16am 16th May 2014
If you've been wondering around Dorchester Town you may have noticed flags going up and proudly waving in the wind.
The world flags line High East and High West Street and town councillor David Taylor told us why exactly, they're being put up;
"We're doing this to get ready for the Dorchester Festival on the bank holiday weekend and then get ready for the commonwealth games so Dorchester shines once again."
But David is waving a flag of his own, an SOS one, because the town needs flag wranglers to help put up more.
He's appealing for anyone with a ladder and the confidence to climb it, up the county towns historic buildings, to join him on Sunday (18th May) at the Corn Exchange at 11am for the final push.
More than 200 flags went up in a similar initiative to coincide with the Olympic summer in 2012.
