Dorset Has 3 In 20 Of South West's Sunday Times Rich List

12:02am 18th May 2014

Dorset names feature in the Sunday Times Rich list, released this morning.

The family of Tom Singh, founder of New Look in Weymouth in 1969 has moved up 1 place to 9th in the South West, with wealth increasing by 110 million pounds comapred with last year to 430 million.

He's overtaken landowner Charlotte Townshend, whose now 10th and who's value has also increased but by a mere 20 million to 410 million.

Entrepreneur Andrew Brownsword, after whom parts of Poundbury are named, is also in the regional top 20, but down 3 places despite a gain in wealth of 15 million.

They're not that rich though...they're all outside the national top 200, and not a patch on Sir James Dyson and Family's 3 billion!
