Dorset Communities Get Funding to Finish Projects
7:54am 20th May 2014
Dorset groups who want to renovate or refurbish village halls and other community facilities can now apply for loans from a fund so they can finish any job they've started.
A 700 thousand pound loan fund's been released by DEFRA, with Dorset Community Action taking enquiries.
Their spokesman Simon Thompson told Wessex FM the average loan size taken out so far is around 15 thousand pounds, but he says you're application's unlikely to be accepted unless you can prove some ability to raise funds yourselves.
The fund is managed by ACRE (Action with Communitiesin Rural England).
