Victim Left Stranded After Scooter Theft

A victim of crime in Weymouth has been left unable to get to work after thieves stole their scooter.
The theft happened overnight, last Monday 9th June, from Reedling Close.
The silver and grey Piaggio X8125, with the registration number HF06 HMV was later found burnt out in a nearby field.
Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
Police Constable Neil Fitch, of Weymouth police, said: "This thoughtless crime has caused a lot of inconvenience to the victim who now has no means of transport to get to work.
"Sadly for the victim, the scooter was found completely destroyed by fire in a field nearby.
"I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this theft, or knows the people involved, to get in contact.
"It is possible someone may have seen the scooter being set alight or suspicious activity in the area.
"I urge anyone with information to call Dorset Police in confidence on 101."
No arrests have been made.
