12:00pm 23rd June 2014
Plans to turn the old Shire Hall in Dorchester into an international heritage centre have been given the green light.
The historic crown court and cells would have educational facilities, a cafe and space for Dorchester's Tourism Information Centre.
The famous Tolpuddle Martyrs were put on trial at the Shire Hall back in 1834.
The Council backed plans for the listed building need to be agreed by the Secretary of State before going ahead.
