Dorset's Part Time Soldiers Wear Uniform to Work

7:29am 25th June 2014

Army reservists are ditching their civilian clothes and proudly wearing their combat uniforms to work in Dorset today (Wednesday 25th June).

It's the Army's Uniform to Work Day, a yearly event, organised to celebrate and raise awareness of our part time soldiers.

Dozens of servicemen and women are expected to mark the occasion across the county.

The Army says: "These individuals make a significant contribution to the nation's security, at home and overseas, and their skills can also have a valuable role in their civilian job."
