Fundraising For Leukaemia Victim Amelia (7)
8:11am 28th June 2014
Parents and children will come together today to raise money for a little girl from Dorchester.
7 year old Amelia was recently diagnosed with leukaemia.
Her School, St Mary's Catholic First, are laying on a special event with go-karts, live music, swimming, pony rides and more, to raise money for her treatment.
Rachel Sherwood and her daughter are good friends with Amelia and the family:
"A group of us from the school have come together to organise Amelia's Family Fun Day, we want to raise money to support Amelia and her family. We're also raising money for CLIC sergeant. We just want to help in any way we can."
Rachael told us there is a load for people to do:
"Fun sessions in a heated outdoor pool, so bring your swim hat. There's a fancy dress parade for children and the theme is animals, birds and bugs. We have pony rides, a craft area, face painting, 3 music bands."
Amelia's Family Fun Day gets underway at 11am and runs until 3pm, at St Mary's Catholic First School.
