Independent town centre businesses in Dorchester are being urged to come together to give themselves a bigger voice.

A meeting's being held tonight, with the aim of coming up with ideas on how to make sure Dorchester's traditional high street doesn't lose out.

The meeting's been called by Jim Ross who runs the Durnovaria Wine Bar.  He says they have a specific agenda.

"It's just very positive group marketing and direct marketing that we can achieve for a good price.  If you have a local business and you're interested, just come along to Taste tonight at 7pm and we can talk about it and put together some ideas."
