Temporary Travellers Site Up and Running in Dorset Village

A controversial traveller's site that has CCTV cameras is now ready to be used in Piddlehinton.
Police and local authorities will use it as a temporary transit area if they find travelling families pitched-up in the county illegally.
24 hour security cameras are included to reassure firms in the nearby business park, over fears of anti-social behaviour.
The Piddlehinton Travellers site can cater for 25 caravans and will run over the summer months.
Dorset County Council approved plans for the Piddlehinton location back in May despite significant opposition to the temporary camp.
The same temporary transit site was used by travellers during the 2012 Olympics.
