A Weymouth photographer says he's overwhelmed by the response he's had to pictures he took of Friday night's electrical storm.
Daniel Roads' photographs of the lightening across Weymouth taken from Portland have gone viral, with Dan getting 50,000 shares on Facebook of the dramatic images.
He says he had to act quickly.
"Well I went up the night before with another local photographer and we tried our luck. And I saw them storm coming in again, so I quickly jumped in the car and drove up to New Ground and shot across there. But I was quite lucky as we didn't get any rain, so I stayed nice and dry this time."
We asked Daniel what the key is to taking these types of photographs.
"You need a sturdy tripod and a camera that goes to manual and have a nice long exposure - and wait for the strikes."
