Youngsters See 'Life Of A Hospital Doctor'
9:11am 26th July 2014
Aspiring medical students got a taste of life as a doctor during a special two-day course.
Dorset County Hospital's (DCH) Education Centre ran it's first 'Introduction to Medicine' course for youngsters from local schools.
For those who are interested in persuing a career in medicine, the course let the students take part in practical demonstrations as well as listen to talks by medical staff about their experiences of medical training.
The students also heard from junior doctors about what to expect from a career in medicine.
DCH's Head of Education, Learning and Development Tina Jackson said they are looking forward to making this an annual event.
''The feedback we had from the students showed that they really enjoyed the course and found everything they learnt extremely useful.''
