12:00am 27th July 2014
A doting husband from Dorchester's shaved his head after his wife got the all clear from cancer.
Mark Vallard's raising money for the nurses from Macmillan Cancer Trust who looked after his partner, Amanda, when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Amanda was diagnosed last year and started chemotherapy on the 27th of December 2013, but she told Wessex FM she's now in the clear.
Mark had his hair shaved off at Lou's Unisex Barbers in Hardye's Arcade in Dorchester last week (25 July) and had raised over £100 at the time.
Mark told us that "Macmillan have been a big help to us, and I thought it was about time I give something back."
Amanda, who watched his head shave added, "They've supported us right from day one, they've been such a big help to us. So, like Mark said, we just want to raise as much money as we can for the charity. It's such a brilliant cause, and they do such a great job."
