Crossways Residents Kicking Up A Stink?

7:38am 31st July 2014

Residents in Crossways are expected to kick up a stink tonight at plans to build a slurry lagoon the size of a football pitch on the edge of their village.

A meeting's being held this evening at the village hall in Crossways starting at 7pm.

Andrew Brewer is from Crossways Parish Council.

He says they already have a problem with the smell created by the local farm and this will make it worse.

"It's going to blight the whole of our village.  You might think it will only affect the people nearest to it, but many hundreds of meters away people are saying they can already smell it now, so what is it going to be like when it's even bigger?"

The proposal to install the lagoon at Summer Farm is being considered by West Dorset District Council.
