Weymouth Citizen's Advice Bureau Now Open Longer
6:40am 5th August 2014
(Updated 6:41am 5th August 2014)
After a successful recruitment campaign for volunteers - Weymouth and Portland's Citizen's Advice Bureau will be reopening to the public on Thursday afternoons.
The CAB offers free and confidential advice for people who need more information on their rights and responsibilities, covering issues such as finances, housing, employment and much more.
Rachel Rogers, Advice Services and Volunteer Development Manager at Weymouth CAB said that despite the new opening, they're still looking for more volunteers:
"We're just looking for people who want to help and have also got a really big interest in how society and public service works.
"We provide a full training programme, which goes on for about six months. People will learn about all areas of the work we do; benefits and debt, housing and employment being the big four subjects, but there's also a variety of smaller things that people seek advice for."
If you are interested in volunteering, you can contact the team on 01305 770325 or by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Or, to get through to someone for advice, call 0844 245 1291 between 10am-4pm Monday to Friday.
