775 homes are to be built per year in West Dorset, Weymouth and Portland.

That's the proposal up for consultation in South and West Dorset, with the period of building them reduced to 2028 compared with the previous plan.

We have till September 11th to have our say, to either council.

The draft local plan sets out a long term planning strategy to meet future housing, employment and leisure needs. It also looks at how climate change be tackled, the environment protected and how future developments can be mad more sustainable.

Comments can be submitted online at www.dorsetforyou.com/localplanexamination/west/weymouth or by email, or post to either council offices.
