Rodwell Trail Event Marks Last Day Of Big Butterfly Count

Sir David Attenborough Butterfly Conservation

12:02am 10th August 2014

It's the final day of this summer's Big Butterfly Count.

Butterfly Conservation are encouraging us to go to the Rodwell Trail this weekend where they're hoping a guided walk aling the old railway line between Weymouth and Portland  could reveal butterfly species including peacocks, small tortoiseshells, commas and others.

Bernard Franklin from the group is leading today's walk which begins at 1pm from the cafe at Sandsfoot Castle gardens, weather permitting.

With the imminent former hurricane Bertha possibly affecting conditions, please call Bernard on 07711 304412 to check if the walk is still going ahead.
