Dorset Police have told Wessex FM they are again seeing an increase in a phone scam targeting elderly people around the county.

It happens when scammers call pretending to be a police officer saying that they believe your account may be at risk.

They then ask for your account details and may even arrange for a courier to come and collect money from you.

Anyone receiving one of the calls is urged not to give out any information and call 101 to report it.
