8:35am 5th September 2014

Volunteer business advisors are needed to help groups of students in Dorset starting their own companies.

The programme's run by Dorset Young Enterprise.

Young people start, develop and manage their own, REAL businesses over one academic year with help from an advisor.

Each group has around 15 students aged between 15-19.

They'll trade as a company to compete in a national competition.

Each company needs an advisor, and will meet for one afternoon or evening a week, Monday to Thursday after school, typically around 4pm to 6pm during term time only.

Volunteer business advisors are allocated to each company based on location and experience.

No prior experience is necessary and full training is given.
