Take A FREE Tour Of The Shire Hall
8:07am 11th September 2014
You can retrace the steps of the Tolpuddle Martyrs, as Dorchester's Shire Hall opens its doors to the public for a limited period from today (Thursday 11th September).
From now till Sunday (September 14th) there are free tours of the cells and court where the martyrs were sentenced.
The tours are taking place each day between 11am and 2pm.
You can just turn up on the day without booking, but the last tour begins at 1.30pm daily.
Then on Monday 15th September as part of Dorset Architectural Week there's an architectural tour of Shire Hall led by a member of the project team. It's on from 11am to 12.30pm. You will need to book for this through East Dorset Heritage Trust (www.edht.org.uk) or phone 01202 888992 for this event.
