Man Punched In The Face In Robbery On Portland

A man's been punched and kicked in an alleged robbery on Portland.

Police say the attack happened between 11pm and 11.30pm on Tuesday the 2nd September in the alleyway by the Co-op on Weston Road.

The 31-year-old was attacked by two men who stole his wallet.

The two offending men are described as about five feet seven inches tall. They were both wearing white trainers and blue jeans. One of them was wearing a blue coloured hooded top and the other a black coloured hooded top with 'Animal' written on the chest and repeated a number of times on the rear of the garment. One of the men also had a green Celtic pattern tattoo on his wrist.

Detective Constable Nick Lavery, of Weymouth CID, said: "I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has any details about the men responsible as they may recognise the descriptions.

"Anyone with information that could assist my investigation should contact Dorset Police."
