Candlelit Vigil By Dorset County Pathology Supporters
10:32am 22nd September 2014
A candlelit vigil's to be held close to the Dorset County Hospital tonight by supporters of the Dorset Health campaign, trying to keep pathology services there.
Sean Gray from the campaign said: ''We are extremely concerned that the hospital management may not have listened to what we the taxpayers are saying on our local NHS services. A petition with 10,000 signatures was handed to the last board meeting calling for a stop to the privatisation.
So far, camapigners have persuaded the hospital trust board to delay a final decision on whether to privatise the work by sending it out elsewhere, to next month, following issues over the tendering process.
The vigil will be outside the Sydney Arms from 9pm
