Youth Football Team's Clubhouse Could Be Condemned

Weymouth cougars club house

3:08pm 23rd September 2014

"They've ripped the heart out of the club."

That's the reaction from the Cougars youth football team in Weymouth who's club house has been targeted 3 times now by arsonists.

They're waiting to find out whether their building at the Marsh is going to be condemned.

Natalie Woods from the club told Wessex FM its soul destroying;

“The winter months are creeping in. We have nowhere to store our stuff on a permanent bases. We have nowhere for the children to get changed.  Nowhere for them to use toilet facilities. If it starts raining, we have nowhere to put the children in the bad weather either.”

Natalie says they’re looking for help from the local community.

“At the moment we’re just taking names and numbers of people who can help.  What we could do with at the moment is some sort of large container so we can store our stuff securely.”

If you can help the Cougars contact the Wessex FM News team on 01305 250333.
